Zootherapy  is a growing profession in Quebec. While zootherapists have long been used in Europe and the United States to provide therapeutic care to the elderly and others, the profession is new to Quebec Animal-assisted therapy, or zoo-therapy , is used in the care of  Children Teenagers Adults Elderly people affected by mental health problems.  Although it doesn’t constitute a cure, it is a recognized and effective element of the therapeutic process because it can provide the patient with a sense of psychological as well as physical well-being.
